What is SPEAK UP?
Do you wish there was something you could do to prevent violence from happening in your community?
Most of the time, other kids know that something is going to happen before it does. Maybe they overhear a conversation about a fight or know about someone carrying a gun in the neighborhood. Or maybe someone told them what they were planning to do the next day.
If this ever happens to you, tell someone who can help, or call 1-866-SPEAK-UP and talk to one of our counselors. The hotline is available for you to call 24 hours a day nationwide, and it is completely anonymous, meaning our counselors will never ask for your name and there is no way to trace your number.
AND REMEMBER, you can make a difference. In ten years, the SPEAK UP hotline has received more than 38,000 calls, leading to the prevention of hundreds of tragedies…and all because of people JUST LIKE YOU!
